Terms and Conditions for Engagement with Study in Australia Group

Welcome, and thank you for choosing the services of Study in Australia Group. Study in Australia Group is a student services agency (also known as ‘education agency’).

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By engaging with our services, you acknowledge your understanding and acceptance of these terms.

1. Scope of Services

1.1 Our Services include:

  • Education counselling and course selection guidance.

  • Clerical application preparation support and processing.

  • Education provider engagement.

  • Assistance with finding work in Australia and CV reviews.

  • Support throughout your studies.

  • A surcharge may apply if you request work to be carried out on weekends.

  • For onshore applications submitted less than two weeks before the visa expiration date, we charge a fee of $AU 750 for weekend and after-hours processing. This is necessary because we have to work outside our regular business hours and need to pay surcharges to our staff to ensure the visa application is submitted on time.

1.2 Our Services do NOT include:

  • Providing immigration advice or immigration assistance beyond clerical tasks. If you have questions about immigration, permanent residency and other migration related topics we recommend that you either speak with the Department of Home Affairs or with a Registered Migration Agent/Migration Lawyer (who will usually charge you a fee for their services). We can also refer you to one of our migration partners.

  • Negotiating timetables or handling late submissions for assessments.

  • Interceding with educational providers concerning teacher dissatisfaction.

  • As a Study in Australia Group student we provide you with clerical support in the application for a student visa, but you must take the responsibility for your visa. We recommend that you check the Department of Home Affairs website if you are unsure about any aspects of your visa or visa application. We endeavour to provide you with all the information you require in order to apply for a student visa. However, we cannot be held responsible for your actual visa application or the visa application outcome. By using the service of Study in Australia Group you understand that this does not guarantee a student visa and that there is no guarantee to obtain permanent residency after the completion of your studies.

2. Student Responsibilities

2.1 Visa Responsibilities:

While we provide clerical support for student visa applications, the responsibility for maintaining a valid visa status lies with you. If you change your course, provider, or course duration, you may need to apply for a new visa. It is crucial to ensure your visa remains valid throughout your studies.

2.2 Education Providers:

You must comply with the terms and conditions of each education provider we represent. This includes adhering to timetables, class schedules, and official complaint processes for any dissatisfaction.

Please note that timetables are always subject to change, and some education providers may occasionally offer weekend or evening classes.

2.3 Immigration and Visa Compliance:

You are responsible for maintaining attendance, meeting academic progress requirements, and ensuring timely payment of tuition fees to avoid visa cancellation.

2.4 Tuition Fee Payments:

Tuition fees may be paid directly to your provider or through Study in Australia Group, where we ensure accuracy of payments. Refunds and variations are subject to the terms of the educational institution as per your offer letter from the education provider.

3. Additional Services and Third Parties

3.1 Study in Australia Group may assist with external services such as accommodation, health insurance, and airport pick-up. However, we are not responsible for these services or any associated cancellation fees. It is your responsibility to read and understand the terms and conditions provided by each individual service provider.

3.2 You acknowledge that payment for these services confirms your acceptance of all third-party provider terms, including their cancellation policies.

4. Suspension, Holidays, and Cancellation

4.1 A holiday is generally not a valid reason to suspend your course. Plan personal travel during designated school holidays. Most education providers offer approximately 12 weeks of holiday per year. Kindly adhere to these guidelines when planning personal travel.

4.2 If you decide to withdraw or change providers, please be aware that any commissions received from the tuition fees you have already paid are non-refundable. Additionally, a cancellation administration fee of AU$500 will be applied.

5. Liability and Limitations

5.1 We are dedicated to give you the best advice and support but are not liable for actions and decisions of third parties including education providers, the Department of Home Affairs, health insurance providers, amongst others.

5.2 We offer our applicants the opportunity to organise an in-person or virtual campus tour before making a decision to enrol. Additionally, applicants are encouraged to check Google reviews for further insight. We generally avoid education providers from whom we have received negative feedback. However, we do not accept liability for changed circumstances related to timetables, assessment due dates, holiday scheduling, or any dissatisfaction with your chosen course or educational provider. If you choose to study at a low-budget education provider, it is important to manage your expectations regarding the study experience. Opting for a budget provider may not offer the premium experience associated with higher-cost institutions.
