Work Restrictions temporarily waived for International Nursing Students!

The Australian government's decision to temporarily relax visa rules for 20,000 international nursing students in Australia could provide vital support to an overstretched health system when the spread of COVID-19 reaches its peak, experts of the nursing industry say.

The Australian government will temporarily relax student visa work conditions for international nursing students in Australia to allow them to work more than 40 hours per fortnight as part of a response to the coronavirus outbreak that was announced in a press conference by Scott Morrison on Wednesday the 18th of March 2020.

“They’re going to be available to support the health effort right across the country..."

said Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Wednesday morning.
